Mr. Andrew Chambler

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon & Shoulder Specialist

Mr. Andrew Chambler is an Orthopaedic Consultant and Specialist Shoulder surgeon at Circle Bath Hospital. He leads the Upper Limb unit and is referred patients from the south west of England as well as internationally from countries such as Pakistan and Bahrain. Currently, he is also Clinical Chairman of Circle Bath Hospital. He is a specialist in shoulder and elbow surgery. A large part of his practice is made up of shoulder and elbow joint replacements and tendon problems.

Mr. Harry Brownlow, FRCS (Orth)

Mr. Harry Brownlow is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises entirely in problems affecting the shoulder and elbow regions. He also delivers immediate diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections.

Mr. Olly Donaldson, FRCS (Orth)

Mr. Donaldson is a full time Consultant specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery based at Yeovil District Hospital. He qualified from the University of Bristol in 2002 and underwent his orthopaedic training in Wales. He completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Liverpool Shoulder Unit.

Mr. Joby George-Malal, FRCS (Orth)

Mr. George-Malal qualified in 1998 from Mahatma Gandhi University, India. He did his post-graduate orthopaedic training at Sion (LTMMC) Hospital, Mumbai, gaining his master of surgery degree from Mumbai University.

Mr. Ben Gooding, FRSC (Orth)

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Nottingham City and Circle Nottingham Hospitals

Mr. Gooding is a Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon and Clinical Chairman at Circle Nottingham. He completed the Nottingham Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship, The Sheffield Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship, the Mayo Clinic and Harvard Orthopaedics, Boston USA 2012, Australia – Southern Orthopaedics and The Sydney Shoulder Institute 2011.

Mr. Inigo Guisasola, FRCS (Orth)

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Mr. Guisasola obtained his medical degree from Navarra University in Spain. His orthopaedic postgraduate training was undertaken in Madrid (Spain). He took up a Consultant post in San Sebastian and practised there from 1992 to 2002.

Mr. Gavin Jennings studied at St John’s College, Cambridge and St Mary’s Hospital, London before undertaking his orthopaedic and sub-specialist training in London.

Mr. Muthu Jeyam, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Mr. Jeyam is a consultant shoulder and upper limb surgeon at the Salford Royal University Teaching Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant in 2006.

Mr. Sudheer Karlakki, FRCS (Orth)

Clinical Director at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital

Mr. Karlakki completed his MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering in 1999, obtained his FRCS (Orth) in 2000 and completed his lower limb fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, UK in 2001.

Mr. Matthew Kent, FRCS (Orth)

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals

Mr. Kent was appointed as a Consultant Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals in 2011 after completing training in the Cambridge region, an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering and a post CCT shoulder fellowship in Liverpool.

Mr. Rishee Parmar MBChB, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics)

Mr. Parmar graduated from the University of Manchester in 2000. He underwent postgraduate training in Manchester and Stoke prior to working in Sydney, Australia. He then completed his training in the North West of England, gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and joined the Specialist Register in 2014.

Mr. Chris Peach, MBBS, MD, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Consultant Elbow and Shoulder Surgeon, University Hospital of South Manchester

Mr. Peach is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in treating disorders of the shoulder and the elbow and traumatic injuries of the entire upper limb. He uses the Subcapularis Sparing Approach for anatomical total shoulder replacement surgery.

Mr. Chris Roberts, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Ipswich General Hospital

Mondays, but can be flexible

Mr. Roberts completed his orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation before undertaking an upper limb fellowship in Brisbane, Australia. He gained his FRCS (Tr. & Orth.) in 2002.

Mr. Mat Smith, FRCS (Orth)

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust

Wednesday and Thursday

Mr. Smith is a Consultant Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon at The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust. He trained in Manchester and undertook fellowships in Wrightington, Preston and finally Liverpool. Having completed the Liverpool Fellowship, he took up post as Consultant in the unit in 2009.

Mr. Malin Wijeratna BSC (Hons), MBBS, FRCS (Tr&Orth)

Mr. Wijeratna qualified in 2002 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ Medical School in London. His postgraduate orthopaedic training was in the East of England Deanery in Cambridge and East Anglia, followed by two fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery in Melbourne, Australia.
