Current Concepts in Joint Reconstruction CCJR
12th December – 15th December 2007
The current concepts meeting will give you the most up to date information
on Joint Restoration. The CCJR will educate you on clinical science in joint
arthroplasty and joint reconstruction.
The CCJR is recognised to have exciting and invigorating debates with many
schools of thought which will encourage new thoughts and ideas.
The Live Surgery Experience
These visits are organised all year round, dates to suit the surgeon.
University of Bologna
Orthopaedic Institute, Rizzoli
The trip to the Orthopaedic Institute, Rizolli involves live surgery with Dr Catani using the Optetrak Knee system. Following surgery Dr Catani will present his experiences and findings with the Optetrak Knee System which will also involve discussions.
You will then have lunch with Dr Catani and the afternoon will involve a trip to the library and the Gait Laboratory. The duration of this trip is one day for travel and one overnight stay
The Equinoxe Shoulder Experience

While on the experience you will:
- Attend total shoulder replacement arthroplasty with the selected surgeon above
- Enjoy dinner with the operating surgeon to discuss his clinical experience using the Equinoxe Shoulder System
- Tour the facilities
The Low Profile Instrumentation Experience
Visit Dr Campus MD at the Hospital General universitario de Alicante in Alicante to observe surgery using the new low profile instrumentation for the Optetrak Knee System. Dr Campus has a wealth of experience with the Optetrak knee system and uses the Low Profile Instrumentation using navigation.
